Teaching has been the most rewarding part of my life, even more than dancing itself, if you can believe it. It was through teaching that I met some of my best friends and developed some of my most closest relationships.

Becoming a teacher forced me to really get to know myself not only as a dancer, but even as a person outside of dance. To teach others to house dance, I had to become aware of my habits, of my assumptions, and of the way I think about things. In these ways teaching has helped me grow the most.

Being a teacher has also given me the opportunities of a lifetime – to travel, to learn, to connect with communities around the globe. Before becoming a house dance teacher, I never – ever – would have guessed the amazing things that were in store for me.
